Grafting workshop, Saturday March 16th, Ravenscourt Park

We will again be running our successful grafting workshops in the glasshouses at Ravenscourt Park.

This will be a hands-on session with Steve Oram where you will learn how to graft your own tree and how to look after it. We will supply rootstocks (which determines size of tree) and scion material (which determines variety of apple). You will be taught how to cut and join the two together. If you have a fruit tree that you would like to graft up, take cuttings of fresh clean growth from last year and store them in a well-sealed bag in a fridge. Aim for wood about the thickness of a pencil if possible and make sure it is labelled. If you have any questions or would like to book pear or plum rootstocks, contact

Cost of workshop is £18 which includes the tree you create to take home. For a booking form, please email
