‘Piazza’ update, benches and planting

The new benches have been installed and are already attracting a lot of attention. Many thanks to the bench crew for all their hard work.

And, the planting and design are continuing to delight the residents of Chiswick:

I just wanted to say Thank you for taking the time to plant near the bus stop on Turnham Green. It makes my day to see the lovely flowers. It’s bought some colour and life to what was a pretty bare uninspiring space. Keep up the good work. It really is very much appreciated.

Just wanted to let you know that I think the new piazza is really wonderful. We walked over there twice yesterday and again today to sit on the benches which are so lovely – they’re very stylish, nice and solid and really comfortable. Love how one of them curves and offers nice views both ways. I also really love the planting. I’ve taken a photo of the planting list and am hoping I can create a version of it at home next year.

I think, again, you’ve pulled off yet another triumph after the fantastic mural. Really looking forward to the road being closed on 15 Sept. We were daydreaming yesterday and imagining if the road could be closed every weekend – wouldn’t that be lovely!

The Turnham Green Terrace piazza is stunning, the benches add the finishing touch and encourage people to sit and ‘just be’. So impressed with your efforts.
Have searched the website to find details of the planting on this project, would love to recreate some of this in my own garden. So inspiring.
